About Residential Turf

Our synthetic turf is a fit for houses, estates and more, from backyard lawns and side yards to pool surrounds and play areas. Houston sits on clay that holds water and our rain arrives in volume, so every residential installation starts with grade and drainage, not just the grass on top.

What is included

  • Site evaluationSoil type, existing vegetation, grade, tree roots and drainage patterns are inspected to plan elevation, runoff and excavation depth.
  • Excavation and preparationSod, roots and organic soil are removed to a clean, stable subgrade.
  • Subgrade stabilization and weed barrierA permeable geotextile fabric suppresses weeds and keeps the base from mixing with the soil beneath.
  • Grade and compact baseA crushed aggregate base is graded for drainage, moistened and fully compacted.
  • Turf placement, seaming and infillTurf is laid, stretched, trimmed and seamed, then infill is brushed in to keep fibers upright and cushion the surface.

What does it cost?

From $10 per sq ft installed

Covers excavation, base, weed barrier, turf, seaming and infill. Final cost depends on square footage, existing surface removal, drainage, access and design details, and we confirm your exact price after seeing the property.

Questions about residential turf

How long does a residential turf installation take?

An artificial turf installation is usually completed in a week to 2 weeks depending on scope and weather. You get a schedule with the proposal, before anything starts.

Why does drainage matter so much for turf in Houston?

Houston sits on clay that holds water, and our rain arrives in volume. If grade and drainage are not designed first, turf stays soggy, so drainage is part of the design rather than a repair later.
